Want 16s

I have 17s right now with 205/40/17 tires. I want to get 16s now with slightly bigger sidewall. Are there any 16s out there I can get that could fit 205/45/16 tires, how can I tell which ones do? Or are all of them just 205/40/16?

I think that Nitto makes a tire in 205/45/16. There are also tires that have a 215/40/16 and 215/45/16. Just look around at a few tire places and see what they have.

Well, 16 inch rims to fit a 205/45/16 will be very very plentiful. You can run a 6.5, 7, or maybe even a 7.5 inch rim on 205 wide tires. The best way to know is to look at the tire manufacturer's recommended rim mounting width. As far as tires, all the tire sizes mentioned exist. It's just a matter of finding them. www.tirerack.com is always a fun place for me when i look for tires, because they have basically all the informaiton you need. You can even call them and ask for tire weights, if that is also one of your concerns.

Good luck

I can tell you one thing. 40 series tires and 45 series tires are not much different.

For 16x7" 16x7.5" can use: 205/45x16" 215/40x16" and maybe squeezing 225/40x16"
