'90 tbird - break lights are out
I checked the fuse - fine
i checked the bulbs - fine cant think of what else it could be, they just went out one night on my way home from work. |

Check the brake light switch that is attached to the brake pedal under the dash.

Ok, so i fiexed it by replacing a burnt out 30 amp fuse in the distrobution box. the thing is it keeps buring out, any ideas? its the fuse that is labeled fuse panel.

You will have to get a wiring diagram for your car. I don't have one but you can try your local library. Ask them for a Mitchell electrical manual for your year car. What do you have in the car that isn't original equipment (radio,amps)? You have to find out what is powered by the 30A fuse. Are you sure you have the correct rated fuse? If it calls for a 20A and you have a 30A fuse in there, you are asking for trouble!

You will have to trace the wires and see if you have a bare wire or a disconnected ground.
I had the same problem with my 85. I spent weeks tracking down a bare wire the previous owner used to tap into for the fog lights.

everything in it is stock. Ill try the bare wire thing i think i might just take it to the shop.
