Bad EGR Valve
I received a obd II code of 1404 which points to a stuck pintle on the egr valve. My question is will this cause any problems if I leave it as is? I had this same problem a year ago when I replaced the egr valve for $100. I don't want to spend another $100 if it isn't necessay to replace.

Re: Bad EGR Valve
Try cleaning it first. Remove it and check pintle valve for movement. You can try using carb cleaner. Spray with a little WD40 after cleaning, reinstall and see if that helps, otherwise it looks like you have another bad EGR valve.
A stuck open EGR valve is not good because hot exhaust exhaust gases are being fed into the intake all the time.
