Re: I need a cooling fan motor

Nope, im positive its the motor, when i hit it, it starts spinning again, so im guessing the brushes are shot... stays on for about 3 or 4 minutes then goes out again...

Re: I need a cooling fan motor

Hot wire the fan to the battery and see if it works.

then go to a junk yard and get a used one. There are lots of them there. And you can also get a smaller one to custom fit on there (make it a pusher), so you can operate it manually. (needs a switch and a relay-or a special 12v heavy duty switch)

I also noticed that a combo of old style clutch fan and an electrical one makes it real easy to keep the temp down. (if clearences allow for it)

Re: I need a cooling fan motor

Well my 3" cowl hood should be in soon so it shouldnt be that hard to keep it cool in there, i never had any problem with keeing it under 200 anywhere with the way the fan was setup, so im not going to mess around with a pusher
