Improve braking!

Hi,
Thanks to you I solved the problem with the rear lights and now I would like to improve my braking! In fact, I read (and I feel) that Suburban from 1994 do not have good braking?! What do you think and what can I do apart from changing the brake pads?
Bye and thank you
Catalin

first put some cross drilled rotors in the front for heat . Then ditch the rear drums for some disc (get from salvage yard) Just did this to my 97 burb same week mussy brakes..........

Re: Improve braking!

Joe1964, I am purchacing a '97 this weekend. After reading this forum and driving a few '96's & '97's I understand the brakes are weak. When you swapped disc brakes on the back, what year & vehicle did you get the brake parts from? Did your '97 have ABS? And lastly, did you also have to swap out the master cylinder and proportioning valve as well?
