how do i identify a 68 camaro ss

im looking at buying a 68 camaro they claim its a ss but it has no vin tag and the cowl tag has not given me any info if it is a ss what do i look for and identify it

You can tell by the taillights, if the reverse lights are in the middle of the taillights themselves then its either a SS or a Z28. If the reverse lights are separate and underneath the taillights then its a RS
