Anyone ever installed a ROBERK wiper delay?

My wife's '93 Geo Tracker came with no Windshield Wiper Delay.

Consequently, I purchased a ROBERK "Wiper Delay Control" (P25) for it
from Schucks for $20.

ROBERK's instructions are written for idiots. Diagrams for AMC, Chrysler, Ford,
Lincoln, Mercury, GM, on and on....15 diagrams with "to wiper switch" in
many of them.

If they had given something to tell me what the six wires coming out the back
of the device do, maybe I could finger this out....!

Click on the thumbnail for a full size copy of Roberk's "Instructional"
diagram....then click on the enlarged version for a LARGER picture!

I have the Chilton Manual (66500) and looked at the car's wires on
page 6-54.

The wiper motor has

Yellow/blue strp - +12v
Blue/Red strp---- Fast +12v ????
Blue/White strp -- Intermitant ???
Blue ------------- Slow +12v ????

Has anyone installed this device on their Tracker?

If so, please give me a hint on what wires do what, etc.

hmm.. I'm going to have to look in to that its a PITA turning the damn wipers on and off.. How bad is the clicking. I'm assuming the Roberk can be mounted in a place that will cancel out the noises such as the engine compartment.

Re: Anyone ever installed a ROBERK wiper delay?

The ROBERK Wiper Delay is a small black box with a dial on the front.

In order to mount it w/o the box, one has to "Take it apart" and it is
not pleasant.....

If you can separate the potentiometer from the electronics, you could
put the "Relay" farther away from you.

Is it worth it? What's a little clicking, anyway?.....Turn up the volume on
your RAP Music!

"What ya gonna do when yer ROBERK do a click?
Take it outside an hit with a stick!
Hit with a stick! Smack it witha stick!
Throw in the box an ain't no mo da click!"

Or something to that effect.....
