AMT Escalade EXT 2 n' 1

Well, just got back from LHS. Picked up the Tamiya 307, looks OK in person. The brakes suck the big one, and definately needs the PE set, also picked up. Got the Revell US release Ferrari Scag and the new AMT Escalade truck.



AMT decided to not fully suck on this one. It has stock parts. It also comes with HUGE rims and the rubberband tires for them. Castings are weak. Bed has seperate bed cover. Mid gate is seperate piece, but interior glass and seat do not seperate. Will have to take care of this. Really nice looking new kit(for once) from AMT. Reminds me of the Chevy pick-ups of the early nineties which also produced the snap kits. Maybe AMT will make a few variants off of this tool(doubt it tho).


In scale with the Revell Escalade.

Not in scale with the Joyride diecast. No parts shared either. Good thing.

Sweet, did you get these from Stevens? do they have more 307's? is the Revell Scag any different the the Revell of Germany kit? sorry bout all the Q's..... cant wait till next weekend!

Read top of my post. They have the 307s. $50 PE was $16 tho. The 300c was suposed to come in. They dunno what happned. The Trumpeter fire truck is due out in 2 weeks. I'll get you one if you want.

The new Escallade kit looks nice. appears to be on par with some of the old AMT reissues of the 90's. which is a good thing. details seem to be a bit soft but thats a minor problem, and a seperate chassis would have been nice. but the kit looks good enough for me. i'll prohibably get one or two, but i'm waiting for the 300C kit,

I just seen the "new" 612 kit. I was wondering what's new.

The Revell Germany one have 122 parts and the "new" Revell is 110 parts.

What is missing ?

The box says 110+ parts. Hehe..I dunno what the differences are in the kits. I never recieved my Revell AG one from EBAY:furious: Can someone PM me the kit contents of the RAG kit please? I'll try to compare them.

does the ext come with an engine if it does how is it.

i wouldve bough the regular one but the ROG comes with cooler license plates

The RUSA kit has a bunch of liscense plates on it. I'll try and get pics up of the kit.
The EXT has an engine. The details on it are weak. The details on the whole kit are a little weak

I hope those "weak details" don't translate to the 300C or the other kits, which I'll be wanting to pick up.

As if I don't have enough projects as is >.<
