flashing MIL means type a misfire... a misfire that could cause damage to the catalytic converter. Check spark plugs and wires for arcing... most likely the cause on this model.

Question Re: 1997 Maxda 626 4 Cyl. Manual!Check Engine Light is flashing!

hey all, new guy here. MY idle cuts out on deceleration on my 94 626. the tps is not quite within spec, checked for vacuum leaks and no check engine lite is on, however at times flickers. idles good cold but after warm up it idles back and forth on slow down and stops, then recovers and were good til the next stop lite. Question , could the tps voltage being off.3 volt really make that much difference. Appreciate any info, thanks Bruce

Question Re: 1997 Maxda 626 4 Cyl. Manual!Check Engine Light is flashing!

HOWDY, My lite also goes on and off from time to time. Im finding my TPS to be out .3 volts when at idle. I played with the adjustment and got it to smooth out and lite is out, however upon decel I notice a variable idle condition and cruising a slight pulsating motion. Any help would be appreciated. thanx Bruce

I thought we are trying to solve my problem.
I guess all of these 626 mazdas have that problem.

Re: 1997 Maxda 626 4 Cyl. Manual!Check Engine Light is flashing!

autousa,

p1195 is a boost sensor code.

check for kinked or, more commonly, broken vacuum lines leading to the boost solenoid and sensor. the boost sensor solenoid and prc solenoid connectors are interchangable... so make sure they're in the right place. (orange connector goes to boost sensor).
