what engine is this h22 or h22a?
i bought this engine off of ebay, JDM 94+ Accord SiR CD6 H22A Full Engine Swap Package NR (8022682864). i did some research and the jdm accord sir 94-97 came with a h22. but on the engine block its written H22A. Which one is it? and whats the difference between the H22 and the H22A?

Re: what engine is this h22 or h22a?
There is no H22, it's an H22a. The only other variations will have a number after the "a". Though there are different variations that are just labled H22a, similar to the b18c (where it could be the SiR-G or Type R engine). But I believe that engine is the same as the USDM one as far as hp and tq (not positive on that, but I believe so).

Quote:
H22a = JDM H22a1 + 4 = USDM I think I heard of a H22a3 with is a euro version. Also I think the H22a2 is the one manufactured in canada. As always, correct me if I'm wrong. Nice setup. |

Re: what engine is this h22 or h22a?
Only the Euro R and the Type S have 220bhp, most of the other jdm/edm version have 200bhp, and the UDSM ones only have 190bhp. But from what I can see (searching online) the Accord Sir only has 190bhp like the USDM ones. I could be wrong on that, but at the most it has 200bhp.
