mustang

whew, its been a while guys, hows everyone? so i was coming back to my apartment from work, stopped at the red light, and saw these two stangs flying by side by side, one was red and one was dark green, the red was in front leaving me to believe the green one just lost. Couple seconds later my light turned green and fast forward all the red lights or whatever and i finally catch up to the red stang, didn't see the green one around so he probably took his turn. Anyways, as i crept up closer to the stang i noticed it wasn't stock, his exhaust sounded like your typical v6/v8, which was not bad, i couldn't tell if it was a v6 or v8, i see he has about 2 or 3 other people with him, so 3-4 total people in his car, now im thinking i might have a chance if its a v6 , usually if its just 1 or 2 people in the car i wouldn't bother becuz i will stand no chance, but in this case......, i downshifted and fly by him at wot telling him im saying hi, we come to an emerging red light and i quickly switch over 2 lanes on his right so i could line up side by side with him as there is a car on my origianal lane, the light quickly changed to green so i wasn't ready and by the time i was just stopping he took off already with a lil tire squeal, i tried to catch up but 3rd in 30 mph is a no no for me. Another red light is coming, and this time it wasn't perfect i'd say we went from a 20-ish mpg roll when the light went green, i tried catching up but i couldn't, he was maybe 2 lengths ahead ahead of me, i hit every gear hard, and i shift faster than my clutch, but couldn't catch up. Another red light comes, and this time i'm signaling him we go again, this time would be perfect!! the light just turned red, and the perfect time to show me a rwd stang launch, but as i sat there waiting for the light to turn green I smell something funny, almost like burning oil from my car, it scared the crap outta me so i decided to not launch, it wasn't worth it, light turned green and he went, the guy squealed all the way through 2nd, wow what a bad launch i thought to myself but his car pulled pretty fast, I was impress. Slowly went to a parking lot and popped the hood, everything looks ok but my belts are squeaking more than normal, slowly drove home. Hopefully everything is ok tomorrow morning, what am i expecting from a car with over 160k miles . Overall, it was a nice night, i'm impress with this mustang and have more respect for a stang now, i havn't had any counters for a while, i see them but they're always going the other way, and plus its winter here and the snow is also a big no no. but tonight, the roads were dry and nice. Again i couldn't tell if it was a v6 or v8 but here's a pic of how it looked like, i'd like to say it looks almost the same as this one, no v6 or v8 or gt emblem, just the ford

up to date on my car: obx short shifter, led knob/shift boot, altezza lights, shaved emblem, removed hubs, ceremic pads, clear signals, meagan racing exhaust, mesh grille, a good tune-up before spring gets here, working on cosmetics atm

Re: mustang

if there was no gt emblem, then it was indeed a v6, that generation coming with 150hp stock. sweet. unless of course it was a cobra, which it wasnt because if it was you wouldnt have been able to see him after he got done with you.

If it was a cobra it probbaly wouldnt have even bothered. Just the sheer exhaust noise wouldve scared rice(er) into a new pair of pants.

Re: mustang

lol man he really does live up to his name, his car is that ones you see at the local ricer hang out reving the shit outa the engines trying to make them sound cool.

If i got beat by a 150HP 3200lb car with 3-4 people in it, i would seriously just completely give up on street racing.
