Question 180 - 225 engine component differences

Hello everyone! Also new to the board. Have a 2000 180hp coupe and the tech at the dealer was unable (or unwilling ) to tell me the specific differences between my engine and the 225 in the car they lent me while they fixed mine. I'm fairly mechanical, so dual intercoolers, a larger turbo, and dual exhaust are quite obvious. Does the 225 model have different injectors? ECU tweaks? massive boost pressure? different intake manifold? The engines share the same bore & stroke, the same 5 valves per cylinder and only a slight difference in compression ratio (180 has 9.5 to 1 vs 9.0 to 1 for the 225) I would like to start tuning this car to crank up the hp and torque and am looking for some sort of route map/point of reference info. Any help would be very much appreciated!!

Re: 180 - 225 engine component differences

the 225 has the dual intercoolers, bigger turbo, different tune and more boost. the horsepower gain is mainly from boost increase.
