Clutch Replacement Help

I've had a slipping clutch on my 95 vr4 for a lil while now and it is getting very annoying. I've decided that I need to change it so I was wondering if anyone knows a good place in Chicago to get work done like that on my car, how much will it cost with labor, and what brand or type of clutch to buy? Any help would be great.

That would be the place to ask about a good shop in Chicago. You might even be able to find a member that would do the job there for you, for cheaper.

This has a few good clutches available, but there are many more options. It all depends if you wanna upgrade or just get another stock clutch. The stock clutch here is sold for around $290.

I can't really tell you what it will cost, because that really depends on what you decide to go with, and how much the shop/person will charge. But something to think about:

On top of the new clutch, you need to get your flywheel at least resurfaced, possibly replaced as well. While you are doing this, many opt to go with an upgraded clutch (not just stock replacement) and a lightweight flywheel. I mean if you are going to replace them anyway, why not consider going with something better? But as well, some people want to remain stock or cannot afford to upgrade and that is fine as well.

I'm sure others will chime in, but in the meantime you may want to do some searches on here and on 3si.org/forum for "clutch" and "flywheel" so you can further research what options you want to go with.
