wierd sound on 97 CVPI

i have a 97 CVPI and it is making a wierd ticking sound. At first i thought it was the motor knocking but it only makes the sound every once in a while. I had a repair shop technician ride with me and he said it was a small exhaust leak. it sounds like it comin from the passenger manifold or the catalytic converters on the passenger side (1 of the 2 on that side). Anyone know of such a problem?

Re: wierd sound on 97 CVPI

if you want to find the exhaust leak all you need to do is have some one take a bunch of old rags and plug up the exhaust pipe so it will make the leak much louder then all you have to do is pin point its location and fix it hope this helps thats my
