Bow Flex

Just wondering if anyone has one of these Bow Flex machines. Been thinking about getting one, but I'm thinking the Fiberglass bows will wear out and it'll cost a boat load to get them replaced.

Been using free weights for ever! Just needing to mix it up a bit and use some new muscles one wouldnt use during free weight work-outs. Any imputs fine, thanx XI

Re: Bow Flex

i got one. Bowflex Motivator2. I like it, gives me a chance to work my upper body. The main thing that I like are the rods. Easy to set, and amazingly strong. I do wish there were more excersises though, but my HOA has a workout center that I'm going to check out soon.

Re: Bow Flex

thanx for the reply mike. Does the Rods giv you constant resistance?
THat what I'm looking for, kinda lik the Bowflex Xtreme XLU(the total homegym unit) this one has 65 exersizes and works the lower body too. A little pricy though.

With my free weights I'm just stuck in this routing/rutt and it needs broken up to maximize my workouts and grow in strength. Been benching 220-225lbs for over 3 yrs and I just cant get over that hump and move up to 230-240.

I'm no body builder looking freak, just keeping in shape. I hav no plans to get as big as that guy on the Bow Flex WS. I'm just aiming for strength, not size. Though you do get big when you workout regularly.

Agian thanx Mike. If anyone else has evn used the Bow Flex tell me what you thought or not, Later!

Re: Bow Flex

We are on our second bowlfex now, and both have been nothing but superb. They provide a lot of resistance if you need them to, but are easier on your joints than free weights, no doubt about it. Our current bowflex ultimate has a huge variety of exercises, and the new ones have even more. I work out on it 3-4 times a week, and I love it, it's head and shoulders above any free weight training program IMHO.

Re: Bow Flex

Sorry I didnt getr back to you guys sooner.
But thanks a bunch!
The easy on my joints alone would be worth it totally. I hav blown out about every socket from free weights. THey serve their purpose though, but I am going to hav to get the Bow Flex so I can metimophisize my muscles.
