Probably. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think teh GTPs are in teh 14s, and manual SLs are generally in teh 15s.

^single turbo's gonna' be a bitch man, lots of money... lots of fabrication... how many miles on your current engine??? I'd get these mods in this order; intake, headers, exhaust, downpipe, high-flow cat, a lightweight crank pulley, and possibly a lightweight flywheel (maybe a better clutch too while you're at it). The great thing about these mods is that they will be readily transferable to your "new engine" if you get a new engine. That's just my two cents though man.
IDK about the GTP's gearing and whatnot, but I'd take him from like a 50 MPH roll (you should be in 3rd gear)... maybe you can take him up top?? Good luck with everything.
