Are Subaru's Faster?

I have a friend keeps insiting that subaru's are so fast and all of this other crap. The problem is there isn't a dealer in my area to test that out, although I am sure that they can't beat a maxima. Anyone ever raced one?

i drove one of those

Yeah, i drove one of thoses sweet babies and i loved it after i got the suspension done. It was all wheel drive and easy to handle. It was fast, it was smooth and very pretty. But I must had crashed it and scrapped it a thousand times while driving it in grand turismo. damn!, but i wished i drove it in real life. :sun:

It kinda depends on what model Subi your talking about.
Their generally all a little under powered and not that great in a straight line making them easy fodder for bigger engined cars like the Maxima, but if your talking about the slightly less common Turboed models like the RS, GT, GTB, RSK B4 and of course the WRX then there not even in the same ball park as a Maxima. They will have got to the end of the road and set up lunch before the big Nissan has even reached the first corner.

I beat them all the time

I have just bolt on mods but every WRX that I have raced I kicked the crap out of...so they might be quick but they aren't quicker than my Max.

Good Buy for 23500?

Are the WRX's a good buy at only 23,500. One of my friends asked for my opinion since we don't live to close to a Subaru dealer, and I told him that I would ask you'll. BTW-the 23,500 is the MSRP for the base WRX

Thanks

WRX race

I have a 2000 maxima se and i raced a wrx. He did beat but not by much. My car is also automatic. I think the manual maxima will give a good run. The 2002 maxima se will definitly beat the WRX.

The WRX is fast, the rest aren't. The old SVX was quick, but pretty much any Subarua other than those two that made it to North America weren't very fast.
