Please, if you do call them, don't waste there time with trivial questions. They are trying to run a business, not field questions for dreamers.

I emailed them and I promise to post their response for everyone so we don't bombard them with the same thing.

Cool super 96 accord,
I had e-mail them a while ago and never got a response, so I figured I would wait until I had my GT-R in hand before I tried to contact them again. |

Well no response yet. But one thing to think about or at least look in to would be that I think when you bring a car over, you only get a short time frame in order to comply the car or you have to ship it back. Or demolish it (like our beloved yellow car that's giving us all nightmares). I have been heavily looking into importing the car myself and what I've found so far is you can get a couple 10 day passes to get the car to/from the conversion places and that's it. So you should really have everything squared away before you bring the car over. Just something to think about.

Key words are "AT THIS TIME". That would rock.
Ok, guys I say we bombbard them with e-mails then. I guess if we show enough interest and they realize they can actually make a profit off of it. It might get their ball rolling a lot faster. |

"Hmm ya he looka likea Man"
![]() Actually I had sent an email to a importer in Tacoma WA and got the same response More detail, but same end resort. I say we e-mail all of them"Thank you for contacting me for your import needs. Unfortunately, I can not help you with the Nissan Skyline. As far as I understand, Motorex in Torrence, CA 310-224-5085 are the only ones that can help you. I have also heard through the grapevine, however, that they are having some problems in getting them certified with the US government. Spacifics, I don't know, but I thought you should be aware. Let me know if there is any other car that I might be able to help you with. The easier cars are on the Vehicle Eligibility list on the nhtsa web site. EPA is usually a problem though. EPA options: Does the car have a label in the engine compartment that says that it was built to meet US EPA emission standards?? If not, you will need a letter from the manufacturer corp offices (not just a dealer ) certifying that it does. If no letter, it needs to be tested and certified by an Independant Comercial Importer who are licensed by the EPA. I am only licensed by the NHTSA, not the EPA. We are associated with a company in New York that is EPA licensed. The EPA fee is approx $5000.00 plus modifications. The main items needed are an OBD2 computer system and a catalytic converter. Good Luck. Regards, Karen Bister Import Specialist"
