Angry Fuel Intake

Hello All,
I finished my four year oddessy in putting my CRX HF back together. I drained the gas tank, put in a gallon of gas, and drained it. Then I put in injector cleaner and 6 gallons of frreash gas. Installed a new fuel filter (under the hood, not in the tank.) The problem - as much as I crank on the engine, I do not seem to be getting fuel to the fuel filter. I opened the bleeder bolt which is on the out going side of the fuel filter. Is their a trick to filling the line. Is the fuel fillter acting as a air lock. Do I have a air lock? Should I try to manually fill the fuel bar a fuel filter? Thanks. Dave

Re: Fuel Intake

Is your main relay clicking when you turn the key? If the main relay doesn't actuate the fuel pump, you won't get fuel pumped through the line to the filter.

Re: Fuel Intake

I can't even find the main relay. According to the book it is up inder the left side of the driver. I have looked repeatedly and cannot locate it. When I turn the key I do not recall hearing a click.

Re: Fuel Intake

main relay is under the dash, on the driver side, you can test it by jumping the two terminals on the left and right, dont bother with the ones on the top and bottom, if you can hear your fule pump operating then you know its the main relay. You can also then fix your broken main relay by sodering in a new connection.
