Eighty Eight vs. Ninety Eight

Is there a big difference between the Olds Eighty Eight and the Olds Ninety Eight?
I was just wondering cuz I heard they are basically the same thing just different names.

Powertrain is the same, the body is a c body on the 98 and a h body on the 88, different platforms.

O. So drivetrain & engine are the same?
The only difference is the body?
So if I had a ninety eight if I ask the eighty eight forum an engine question they can help me out and vice versa?
