maybe someone can help me with weird problem with steering

so this is my problem
when ever its cold or wet or both and after the car has been sitting there for a long time like over night or at work. When I start it when I first turn the wheel it'll feel like I have no power steering as the wheel is very hard to turn, and my car makes like a belt screeching noise. After the car heats up or has been driven for a litte bit it won't have that problem. Anyone know what the problem is? Thanks.

check your power steeling fluid, check your power steeling, make sure it work right, it might not pump enought air. when you turn you steeling wheel, do you heard any noise ?.

mine does this too!!!!!! except the belt sqeel doesnt go away when i turn the wheels sharp it sqeels like a pig lol....ive tryed tightning the belts power stering is full and all this also has me stumped just annyoing really...

yea, my steering fluid is full and it doesn't make any noise once you start driving and the car heats up. I have no idea what is casuing the problem.
It just embarassing when you have your girl in the car and the car is making loud not good noises.

I had that noise for about a month or so.. one night it was REALLY cold, and then the belt snapped haha. It wasn't too bad though.. it brought me back to when I was driving an old school Corolla. I've had the belt replaced and it's all good now.

EDIT: I'd like to also mention that I wasn't even turning the wheel when the belt snapped. I was just giving it a lot of gas and I guess too much engine heat too fast caused it to snap.

I've had this same problem then my belt snapped... Eclipes doesn't like cold weather..
