Question Should I build this?

Signal Auto's S15-180 Drift Car, AKA Drifter X's car. It combines the front cut of a S15 with the body of a late model RPS13 180SX. Lots of things must be scratch build, like the wing and body kit.
Aww, but I'm gonna be broke if I do buy both S15 and 180SX for this project...what should I do@@

I don't remember if Fujimi has the 180SX late model, but if they do, you might as well buy two kits and go broke. Then, make a killer replica and you'll gain respect. The wings can be made cheap from Evergreen plastic sheet.

Man, haha that's funny how you put it! You do have a point. I believe I've seen a late model of it. This car's been tempting me since the day I saw it in Sport Compact Car. Oh man, I'm gonna need wheels too! Awww, what should I do!! The car is growing on me:toothless

Build it! then see if you can salvage enough of the left overs to make another one with a 180 front and the S15 back

That's shouldn't be a problem, the plan is to swap front end of the two cars. Any ideas what I can do with the 1-via (180 front, Silvia rear car)?

I was considering doing a strawberry face conversion like the one you want to fabricate, but it costs 2-3k for the parts...and the fenders in real life have to be fabricated from fiberglass rather than using the OEM metal ones...anyways, enough of my ranting. I've seen pictures of S15's with s13 front ends also...actually looks very unique. so you wouldnt be wasting any parts in buying the 2 models...just swapping the front clips I say go for it. And if you fabricate that body kit, that would be even sweeter Let me see if I can find that pic of the s13 front end s15 with body kit...

Really? I always thought it would be directly swapping of sheet metals between the 2 car. If you can find the pic, that'll be great

AccordTypeR: I have that issue of Super Street, but thanks for the offer!
Korea is looking strong this year, they might have a chance against Portugal.

siege, can you give me more info about this S15 with S13 front end
I notice it has "www.v-opt.co.jp" on its windsheild and should be an entry in the D1 drifting contest. It'll be so cool to match it beside the Signal's car!

Sorry turbos86...don't know any of the details of the car, but ran across it while looking at this year's tokyo autosalon pics... But from what I understand, this car appeared in an option around early to mid 2001). I'm not sure the extent of the info provided in the option either...but I do think with your skills you could put together the 1/24 version

And about those fenders... the OEM metal ones can be used, but they need to be modified so its just easier to use prefabricated fiberglass ones.
