Parking lights problem

Ok Guys heres a good one,
I've finally got the[u] engine problems fixed on my 95 S10 blazer and i guess i havn't gone through enough misary. I went out to the car last Saturday and my parking lights were on, everything was off so i figured it was the switch so i replaced it and everything was good. Well I went out to the car tonight and they were back on.....Question is where do i begin to trouble shoot I did notice that when i put the car in drive the rear hatch would go off but that seems to have stoped for now

Re: Parking lights problem

If you have an aftermarket alarm system, aftermarket keyless entry, trailer hitch wiring, etc etc, I would check there first. Most aftermarket add on accessories cause an electrical problem eventually, especially if it was installed by a rookie. If there are no aftermarket accessories installed on the vehicle, I would pull the fuse for the rear hatch (being you’ve had a problem with that) and see if park lights still come on by themselves. If that fuse doesn't make the problem go away, pull the fuses one at a time until the problem disappears. That would be the circuit to trace for a B+ short to the parking light circuit.
