Cracking Clear Coat

My friend has a 2005 Dodge Caravan. It has begun shown cracking and "spider webbing" in the clear coat on the bumper and the hood. Anyone else have this problem? The car has never been hit to her knowledge, she bought it brand new off the lot. Need to know if this is something the dealership should take care of. Thanks

Re: Cracking Clear Coat

If the clear is cracking then the dealer and Chrysler are obligated under warranty to repair the vehicle. If this is a 2005 then the bumper to bumper is still in force unless she does a lot of driving. Take it to the dealer and have them look at it. If they refuse to do anything then call the district service rep. about the problem the number is in the owners manual. Tell her to refuse to take no for an answer as this should not be happening!!!
