Need help installing Kenwood mp3 deck! Pioneer installed at this time!

I'm thinking this should be a pretty easy swap out. At this time in my 98 Civic I have a Pioneer (DEH-P8000R) mounted in the lower pocket just avove the cup holders. I am going to be taking the Pioneer out and installing a Kenwood (KDC-MPV7109) next week when it arrives (same lower pocket). I am thinking all I have to do is disconnect the Pioneer and replace my Kenwood the same way the Pioneer was wired
There is a reverse harness being used as well in the dash to allow the factory deck up top to light up. I did not do this install. The person who did the radio install also did installed my alarm and he is in Fl.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

So you still have your factory deck in the dash? I am assuming this is because your car has factory keyless entry and the only way to keep it work is to leave the radio in the car. I can tell you a way to put the factory radio behind the dash and you can put your new kenwood in the right spot. I always hide the factory radio behind the dash. Or if you just want to put it where you have the pioneer now it should work just fine. The harness colors should be exactly the same and it should all work fine as long as your previous install is wired correctly.

I want to keep the deck down low. It's a great decoy to have the factory deck up top and I just pop the cup holder lid up and the deck vanishes. Also, it's really hot in here so the sun is not directly on the deck being so low. ....and last my alarm has keyless so I would not need the deck to be hidden in the dash

Thanks for the input!

all you need to do is to remove the old radio, and disconnect its wiring harness, use the new decks wiring harness in its place, and reinstall. very simple.
