TS-63 Nato Black
Is kind of green. So don't use it for interiors.

Re: TS-63 Nato Black
Tire black (H77), Panzer Grey (H401), Soot (H343) and Midnight blue (H55), all them from Gunze Sangyo, are very good to paint black without using black

Re: TS-63 Nato Black
Kinda green alright. I bought some and was disappointed like you, but it might work on an interior of a dark green car.

Re: TS-63 Nato Black
I'm going to have to skew off in the opposite direction folks - I found it a great colour for vehicle interiors. I think it also depends on the contrasting interior colour, and external vehicle colour though.
I thought it perhaps had a tinge of blue, and haven't noticed any green in it. Could be that I used Tamiya acrylics as opposed to the lacquers you guys have experimented with, I'm not sure. You can see pics of my work with Nato Black here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...t=310135&pp=15 Cheers, M |

Re: TS-63 Nato Black
Thanks for the heads up guys. Sounds like an interesting colour although obviously not black.

Re: TS-63 Nato Black
I was going for a dark gray for Honda interior plastic, to replace the Testors can I used (when it wasn't spitting chunks of paint) with a more reliable paint can. Fortunately the car I'm building is dark green and is a quicky, so I'm just going to leave it. It's so dark it's not too obvious anyhow.
Captain Mark, your Acrylic is much lighter than what came out of my spray can! The color you ended up with is a lot closer to what I wanted than what I got.
