Re: no take off

well its better off to buy the entire dohc engine and harness/pcm then to deal with modifying it. those sohc were tbi, and thats the main problem. also its not good to have the wheels spin in a saturn, it causes differential problems. but is it a standard or auto? you need to probably check into exhaust being plugged or a rich mixture, if everything else was fine. those tbi sohc are junk, they didnt have much of any power from factory.

Re: no take off

Well i have a code scanner and i ran my data output and its steadily having a rich output also it is an automatic with the performance switch which i still have not figured wtf that does and i know it did sit for about 5 years w/o running at all so did that possibly mess somthin up? ihave never really been a saturn dude so i am still gettin into this stuff i have always been into chevy (cavaliers) or my good old Cutlass Supreme SL with the 3.1 so yea i miss the balls it had maybe its just me maybe it runs fine but i just feel it should have some kinda power even if it is under 3,000 rpms

Re: no take off

for a DOHC swap - http://www.differentracing.com/tech_...dohc_swap.html

your SOHC auto trans will not work with the DOHC PCM

the PERF switch increases transmission line pressure, extends the shift points and raises the rev limiter.

your code scanner, does it have a actual display or does it flash the SES light?

did you allow time for the O2 sensor to warmup before checking the reading?

Sounds pretty normal to me for a 92 SOHC ...Did you time it right?, sounds like maybe you didnt? those things are dogs! but if its not timed right it wont run right even 1 tooth off will cause a problem, if the timing is right...only suggestion is to run the living crap out of it, they seem to run better when ran hard...dont forget to change the oil!
and check it often
