Question Finding Parts

Hey can anyone point me out some websites that i can find parts for my 1979 trans am. im wanting to convert all the interior in the car into the black that came out that year.. i dont want anything off ebay. im not looking for perfect parts as its a restoration and that means a little elbow grease. also does anyone know where i can get the complete assembly for the 79 shaker. thanks buds.

I have looked on ebay.. and im just not empressed with the parts there trying to sell.

Re: Finding Parts

Try this link- it has numerous Firebird links:

http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/8455/firebird.htm

Also, have you joined some of the "2nd gen" pontiac webrings, groups, forums, etc? Some of these groups have classifieds and you can find good deals this way.

Do some searching online, especially if you wish to avoid ebay. There are some other automotive themed selling places like "racingjunk", etc, as well as firebird specific junkyards like dave's GM salvage, franks pontiac parts, jrods classic firebirds, etc.

They're out there. good luck!

Re: Finding Parts

Ames Performance (find it at "classicalpontiac.com")

Performance Years ("performanceyears.com")

You may also find some goodies in the classifieds at "pontiacstreetperformance.com" or "boyleworks.com" (muscle cars)

Best of luck!

Jim
