Still No spark

OK, I have a 93 LXE which as you may know has the 1.8 and the 5 speed. I have no spark at all. I do in fact have power going to the coil. I checked the Ignition Control module it was fine, I tested the coil, it was also find. I have yet to determine if my crankshaft position sensor is bad. i have a subscription to alldata and it gave my a procedure to test it,but I don't have the breakaway box so it appears to be useless. The person I bought this from told me he thought that the ecm was fried, are there any tests to perform on the computer can anyone elaborate on how to determine which ecm is which, y tag seems to be missing except for the numbers 9741717

Thanks David

Re: Still No spark

you can put a jumper wire in the eec test plug and use the check engine light to flash your trouble codes, how to do this is pretty much the only usefull info in the Haynes manual. it does sound like a problem that could be caused by the crank senser

Re: Still No spark

you can go on the ground side of the coil and manually ground it out by tapping on a ground to see if it sparks. use a spark tester, if it doesnt spark every time and youre sure you have 12v going to the coil then its the coil. if not then i would be seeing why the coil isnt being grounded.
