Few pictures of my new 91 SI

Well heres the story. I scored this baby from a guy at work here in Phoenix Az. He wanted $1500 for it. Then lucky for me it got stolen. He got it back with no oil and a blown bottom end. I offered $500 for it and he took it. Now i am the proud owner of this 91 Si. The body and paint is near perfect. The interior needs a work. But for $500 i think its a Damn Good deal!!! I plan on buying a new Si Engine for it. So i could have it as my daily driver, that way i could give my b20 powered DX a rest. I plan to fully build the b20 then drop it into the Si.

It came with the owners manual!

Re: Few pictures of my new 91 SI

sweet find.
what the hell is in the back???lol it almost looks like dead grass
are you just getting a bottom end? or a whole "new" motor?
if the dx bottom is still good i would just use that... if the head is still good on the si..assuming you still have the dx motor.

lol... its not grass!! even tho it doesn look like it. The guy that had it before me said he put that expanding foam in the so his spakers wouldnt move around. but anyways i plan on taking that out... how? i dont know. After that i plan on painting it the stock red or line-x it. About the engine i plan on getting a whole new Si engine for it, that way i can use it as my daily driver. Doing that will give me time to make my b20 a b20vtec (using a gsr or type r head). Imma have fun with the b20 vtec for a while then i plan on fully building the damn thing. I just dont know if I should go all-motor or turbo..on the b20.. what do u guys think what would be best?

Re: Few pictures of my new 91 SI

the only reasion i say that is cuz the b20 sleeves are "weak", i have seen them break on fairly low boost. they have thiner walls than say a b16.
for all motor...i dont know, it's up to you, what your doing and how much power you want.

I know i have met a couple guys that have gotten their honda stolen, but every single one of them had no alarm or kill switch. I take lots of care of my cars so im sure its gonna get a alarm and a couple kill switches (u can never be too safe). When it comes to getting work done on my car i usually do everything my self. If its minor electrical work ill do it, but i have yet to learn how to do wiring harness's and vtec conversions. But there is this mechanic where i work (Peoria Kia) that does swaps. I havent had anything done by him, to recommened him. Also there is this other mechanic that worked at Bell Acura for 6 years and he does swaps too. If ur interested in talking to them give me ur number and we can go from there.....

Gah, it's been forever since I've heard that name. I miss Phoenix. Anyways. Nice find. Keep her looking sharp, and she'll thank you in the long run.
