Dynomax Turbo Kit Rocks!

Okay,

I just had my Dynomax turbo kit installed today at 5pm...it seemed like the truck only became more response as I kept driving it. I'm really impressed, nice low prowl...the thing really feels great. The only other thing I'm considering is a Brute Force intake. I currently have a K&N Filter so I don't know how much extra kick I would really get. In Chevy Truck World's FAQ area it says that you'll typically get a 2-4% boost from a performance filter and 5-8% from an intake. I don't know if it's going to be worth it...any thoughts?

Re: Dynomax Turbo Kit Rocks!

i too have the super turbo kit. it has a nice rumble to it but is not obnoxious. sounds like a flowmaster but flows better. i'll have to post sound clips.

an intake will benifit u the most in the higher rpm range when the stock system would be restrictive. aem is an expensive brand. u can buy an ebay intake for about 20-30 bucks if ur on a budget. u could also add a cone filter to the stock tube and just cut off the resonator box. i got my k&n system for 200 bucks and it works very well. hope this helps.

Re: Dynomax Turbo Kit Rocks!

ZL1, thanks for the suggestion. I just don't want to wind in a "get what you pay for situation". BlazerLT has said that the ebay intakes with the K&N filters work great, I just wanted some other opinions...rather do it right the first time.

S10...I don't have an exhaust tip so everthing looks stock when stand back and look at the thing. I'll take some more pics of my truck but for now you can check out this pic below

Re: Dynomax Turbo Kit Rocks!

the system looks stock but its 2.5in instead of 2.25in. it doesn't come with a fancy tip.
