Re: turbo installation price

http://www.cse.uconn.edu/~yelevich/turbo/turbo.html

for the manifold, turbo, exhaust, injectors, fuel pump, hondata, intercooler, wastegate, blow off and fuel pump

really depend on where you shop. if you really know nothing about what you are doing just go out and get a greddy kit or a turbonetics or full race kit and leave the guess work out of it. you could build one piece by piece for probably less but off the top of my head id exect to pay between $ 3500 to $ 5000 if you want to do it right. that price does not include any internal work inside the engine. mechanics on the east coast generally charge $65 an hour and i believe the turbo kit is between an 8-10 hour battle, expect the worse and hope for the best

Re: turbo installation price

is what you will do to yourself on the self install, mainly because it sounds like you really know nothing about what you are doing.

Re: turbo installation price

first of all i do know what i am doing i just wanted to get an estimate on how much labor would cost...i am hoping for around 230-250 whp, but down the road i am looking to sleeve the block and bore it out, new pistons and rods, with a new valvetrain, intake mani and bigger injectors...but i dont think doing it myself is an option...i would just mess things up

Re: turbo installation price

I think that's what TurboGSR96 meant by not knowing what you're doing...you wouldn't be able to install anything yourself. I don't think he was trying to put you down in any way...but I could be wrong.

Re: turbo installation price

ok well here is the turbo kit i am buying
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turbo...QQcmdZViewItem
it seems to have some quality parts and it is a good price too...other than that i will be upgrading to a 3in cat back w a 3in hi flow cat, as for engine management i will be using the hondata s200b, to upgrade my fuel system im getting a walboro 255 fuel pump, and i have an air/fuel gague and obviously im getting a boos gague...i plan on getting it tuned by jeff evans http://www.boosted-hybrid.com/index.html .... he charges 500 for the hondata and i have enough money for the parts i listed and a tune but i still need to account for the installation of everything i listed...i will probably just end up buying the parts first and then waiting a month or two to save up extra money incase anything goes wrong but im just trying to plan ahead...and as for my power goals, i am really hoping to get at least 250whp..i no that seems kinda high but i think at 10-12 psi with a good tune it could be done...also what 1/4 times would i be around with that bc i have alot of friends w turboed cars (gsx 300zx srt4 and a couple talons) i just want to be able to beat some of them bc i get alot of #### bc i have a "honda" lol

Re: turbo installation price

not the greatest kit ever, but i'm sure it will do.....for that price you could get something better tho.....the prices listed are what i paid for my stuff on the top....you can get something similar if you look....

mani-200
turbo-400
dp and dump-200
bov-50
wg-75
IC-130
IC piping-150
Oil line kit-50 (DIY)

A little over $1200 and i had an IM in there too, but those prices are off the top of my head....
then what they didn't include.....

clutch-300+
injectors-250 (mine were 140)
EMS-200-500

I guess my point is, that you can get something a lot better for less.......

Re: turbo installation price

Re: turbo installation price

yeah they'll fit on an LS....go to www.spoolinperformance.com and check out their deals on logs, dps, and dumps...it was $575 for the package at one point. If you go on Honda-tech, talk to Phil (project dc2) and he'll set you up w/ some good deals on stuff...If you want an IC i can get you some good deals on a couple different styles...the WG is an SSAC 38mm. I got some good deals on the other parts...i got an HP Racing IM for a good deal w/ some RC550s....i also got a great deal on my turbo and Tial BOV...

If you just look around, you can find some good deals or if you want i can do it for a nominal fee...

and finally my car before i started ripping it to pieces.....
