will it fit??

there is a front hitch thingy that i have found on jcwhitney.com. it has a cool feature that allows you to connect a winch or other items via a towing hitch recepticle. the down side is, it's for a 99 hombre

are the hombre and rodeo frames roughly the same? the instructions tell me to bolt the hitch receiver into the tow hook holes on the hombre--are the rodeos in the same place?

what if i was to get a piece of plate steel and fabricate--what would be a good width of steel plate? should i even attempt it for safety reasons?

so many questions....ugh!

Re: will it fit??

No the Hombre is a Chevy S10. No relation to the Rodeo.

Re: will it fit??

bummer. i guess i could just buy it and if nothing else, i could fab up a plate that would make it fit. it has too many applications not to be made of good use, i think.

I've bought "direct fit" hitches in the past that were not even close! Luckily a couple blows with a sledge (to the hitch ) was all it took for proper fitment! That would be cool to have up front.
