2000 corolla.. no power

ok. i own a 2000 corolla, and i recently dissconnected the battery to clear a check engine light, the car ran fine before, but now when ever you give it gas, (full throttle) the engines looses RPM, and starts to missfire, and sputter. i was thinking it might be dirty maf or af sensor, anybody have any suggestions?

thank you!

Re: 2000 corolla.. no power

Next time you get the check engine lindication you need to at least get the code before clearing it.

The 2000 OBDII diags may place the PCM in "limp home" mode even though you cleared the dash indicator -- The code gives you a hint -- so anything would be a wild guess.

The performance before and while the indicator is lit also is important to diagnosis, so take notes.

Re: 2000 corolla.. no power

im slowly tackling this problem..

one of the problems was the 15a fuse, that controls the dash lights, auto trans something, efi, and other stuff was blown, but i didnt notice that BEFORE i disconn. the battery, im thinking the computer re configured it self and after i plugged in the fuse it justmessed things up even more, im going to try to diss conn the battery one more time, if not, ill just take it to work and get it hooked up to obdII

today i was looking at diagnosis and troubleshooting, i work at toyota so i have access to TIS,

thanks for all yr guys help!
