I have removed my headlights a few times on my 96, and it is no where near difficult.. If your Escort is a 91-96 PM me and I'll give you instructions on how to remove it, it takes 10 minutes for each light your first time, and that's if you're going slow. -Scott |

Re: New Headlight Assemblies
Check out my sig. for my car's info.
Yes, I know you have to remove the clear corners and the grill. Clear corners- Remove 2 screws each, pull and disconnect Grill- Pop the pins and slide out I attempted to remove them myself, but I got nervous because the bolts a pretty rusted and I did not want to strip them. Plus, I do not know how to align the lights (I know they have adjusting screws) and I would rather have it professionally done. Any tips on where I should go and how much people charge? -Brian

Re: New Headlight Assemblies
It takes 15 min. to change both of them, anyone who charges you more than $40 is ripping you off, and to adjust them all you need is a nutdriver , a wall, and darkness. The only tools needed to change the headlights are a phillips screwdriver and 10 mm socket.

Just get out the trust WD-40 and those bolts should be okay. I just washed mine a week ago. |
