I've been away for awhile, nice to see people still here. Anyway, I have an alarm that came with a remote start but I never thought I could use that function being that I have a manual transmission. However, recently I heard there is an override ability to be able to instal a remote start. This person has had it done to their car, and it is definitely a manual. Does anyone know how to do this?

Re: Override for Remote Start on Manual
A good reason for why you probably haven't gotten a lot of feedback is that it is NOT recommended that you install a remote start on a manual transmission. There are ways around it, but even then they aren't "fool-proof". I installed one on one of my old cars that was a manual, and even with safety measures in place...it still wanted to jump if the car was left in gear a couple of times.

Re: Override for Remote Start on Manual
Who leaves it in gear? Only those stupid mechanics when I take my car into the dealership!
