Re: vg30et swap question

well the basics for starters as in injectors exhaust manifold and the turbo itself

from there you need something for the ignition to keep proper timing under boost i hear the msd boost timing master is a good choice
after that you need someway to controll the fuel for the basics a bigger inj. but you may want to lower the stock pressure at idle and return to normal pressure under throttle you can buty a fmu (fuel managment unit off ebay for under 100)
if thats out of your range of mechanics that you may wan t to jsut get a front clip of a turbo and if not try and get a wirin diagram and the ecu

most people will tell you that you should just get the turbo version its cheaper asnd easier

also if you keep stock na motor and pistons do not exceed the stock setting if you do no more than 8 psi to much heat and detonation and poof blown head gasket
good luck

Re: vg30et swap question

if its stock there is no intercooler but yeah the rest is right
and an intercooler is highly recomended over 8 psi
and ac tually according to z31 the na tranny is a stronger model
allthough i have to disagree only because nissan put the tranny in there because it was stronger
bvut there are people with 240s and the same tranny with over 400hp blah blah blah
new clutch is recomended

good luck

There's no such thing as a "JDM" vg30et... they had RB25det engines (I think).... while you're doing all of this, see if you can get your hands on a 87+ turbo tranny, and an LSD rear-end.

Re: vg30et swap question

*sigh*

ok guys listen up...

if you've got the engine/turbo/all that stuff all you should need is the turbo crossmember, ecu, (injectors, sensors etc if they didn't come on the engine) and most likely a stronger clutch depending on how long you've had yours for..

yes, there is such thing as a vg30et, it came in the turbo z31's that were made in japan... durr

1via pay attention to the missing "D" in the engine code

i think i've left something out but this new layout is hurting my eyes and i've got other net stuff that needs doing..
