Intersting question, Starion 2.6
Ok, so I went to the middle of bumfucking nowhere, iowa this weekend for a show choir competition. It was a 9 hour drive with chick flicks and everyone cuddling and nothing to look at out side but corn and giant piles of shit. Oh yeah, there was a tree too. Anyway, I had a lot of time to myself to think, most of the time about things I cant get (DSM and a girl). So heres one of my ponderings while I was trying very hard to resist the urge to beat myself unconcious after sitting on my ass all day: The Starion got a 2.6 SOHC 4 cylinder. I wanted to build one bad until I found out about the "S" in the SOHC. I thought they were DOHC, but after getting into them I read somewhere that they were SOHC. Could someone take the head from a 4g63 and put it on the Starion block? I forgot the Starions engine code, but it was a 4gxx engine. Any insight?
And dont tell me to go to the Starion forum, they have like 3 threads and 27 forum views, I doubt my question will get any attention .

Re: Intersting question, Starion 2.6
Ok...so are you basically saying that you would turn the sohc into a dohc? It seems plausible if the heads match up. It might require some custom fabrication on some parts but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Re: Intersting question, Starion 2.6
I think they have pretty weak bottom ends, and i think thats why people put 4g63's in them. I'm sure you could build one to be sweet especially i you kept the 2.6. I think its weak otherwise people would put them in eclipses.

Re: Intersting question, Starion 2.6
Why not just drop a 2.4 stroker into it? Don't they make those as dohc motors?

http://www.machvforums.com/printthread.php?t=27869 Here. Even IF it would bolt up, you would have a serious timing issue

Re: Intersting question, Starion 2.6
Sweet thanks guys, thats what I was after. I was just thinking how most b series honda stuff is interchangable, would the 4g6x engines be as compatible, but I guess not. But shit, a 2.6 would have monster spooling capability.
