APEXi N1 Muffler feedback??
Sup Guys,
I have a 99 spyder GS and am considering getting a muffler for it. Upon doing my search on this forum I hear the APEXi N1 mufflers get pretty good reviews and have a nice deep bassy sound which is what im looking for. I need a couple things, First of which, is this APEXi N1 muffler official? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/APEXi...spagenameZWDVW Secondly, Can I just weld the muffler on the factory piping? Lastly, Anyone running this muffler on a GS Spyder? Thanks

The link wasnt working for me. If it says "style" its a fake. How much is it? I'm willing to bet its a fake one. I wouldnt screw around with just a muffler, I would just go catback or atleast an axle back. A shop should be able to weld it to stock piping, but I think getting a can on its kinda pointless.

i wouldnt pay that much for a muffler thats "name brand" i paied $35.00 for mine and it sounds great! no name brand nothing eclipses sound pritty good with any kinda of muffler
to your second guestion yes but if you are gana get an exhaust later on u might as well go ahead and get it if you have the money

doesn't look real to me..
first off the price.. It's way to cheap to be official. 2nd bad grammar(or is it er ironic eh?) in ad. 3rd it keeps saying it's by ace muffler not by apexi..

Yeah, I doubt its a realy APEXi one. Did you see shipping? $25! Thats bullshit, it costed Mike less than take to ship his catback here. I would just pick one with that toots your fancy and get it reguardless of brand.

Sound has alot to do with the motor and piping to not just the muffler. If you look at 99.9% of all "fart cans" they all have basically the same design with only minor differences. Look on www.videos.streetfire.net they have alot of clips that have people showing off their exhausts

u muffler has little to do with ur exhaust sound, but it also has a lot most of the sound comes from the motor and exhaust pipeing
the fart can hondas are all SOHC most of the neons eclipse and all are DOHC

PR Ricer - Im going to look into that site. Longemoco - That muffler looks interesting. How does it sounds at high rpm's? Xavier3jr - lol, thats the thing my whip is a GS Spyder meaning it comes with 2.4 SOHC, the worst of the eclipse engines performance wise. I know, I know... Had I known this prior to shopping for my car I would have opted out for the Spyder GST but My God those things are incredibly hard to come by in N.Y. not to mention expensive.
