New to Forum - 300SL Gullwing progress

Hi Guys - I've only just discovered this forum and like the look of it. You seem a nice friendly bunch. Here's my first post from England so treat me gently.

This one is fighting every bit of the way.

Chassis not too bad - basic spaceframe builds up

and then gets engulfed with detail (no complaints there!)

The fight begins!

Major fit problems of doors - (the bonnet [hood] and boot [trunk] are the same!)

Interior (still taped), and interior sills painted after much filling, sanding and messing with body.

Hopefully we're getting there (slowly!)

Now for the nice part!

Comments and criticism appreciated.

Happy modelling - cheers - Martin

No crticism from me, it looks real good and real clean so far. Keep it up, and don't lose heart just because some panels don't fit - we'd love to see it done.

Welcome!
Great execution on a very nice project.
Looking forward to following your progress (not least 'cos I'm going to be starting mine in the not too distant future )

Re: New to Forum - 300SL Gullwing progress

Looking good! Pity that a lot of the detail will be hidden when it's finished.

Is this kit the AMT 1:24, or the Japanese (Entex?) 1:16?

Re: New to Forum - 300SL Gullwing progress

Hi - thanks for the comments.

AmazonSprite - it's a 1/16 Minicraft. (probably the same as the Entex but I couldn't be sure).
