Opinions on a 00 Rodeo grill modification

I thought I would try something to hide the radiator and other internals and dress up the front end a bit...
What do you guys think? Should I leave it silver or spray it black?
I haven't done the lower openings yet.

Re: Opinions on a 00 Rodeo grill modification

I couldn't find anything ready made for this so I assembled these out of metal grid from the hardware store. It's flexible, strong and holds a shape once bent.
It was just an experiment before I invested in more expensive screening (this stuff was only $3 for a 50' roll) but it came out so well I'm gonna leave it and finish the bottom.

Silver it is.

Had to remove grill.... only takes about 5 min.

Re: Opinions on a 00 Rodeo grill modification

What did you hook it down with?

I understand you took off the grill, but I can't see what's holding the screen in place.

Re: Opinions on a 00 Rodeo grill modification

OK, that looks awesome. I may be using your idea. I always liked the look, I wanted to do that to my Eclipse when I had it.

What was involved in removing the grill? What is holding the screen on? Where in the hardware store did you find this stuff and what's it called?

Thanks,
Marc
