Re: How long has your battery lasted?

Well now you done it. When a person brags on it he had better look out.
It has done a lot better than most. Usually 3 -5 years is the life of batterys.
Keeping the charging system good and cables clean and not overworking the battery helps.

I have a 94 XLT, and the original battery went in February 05 after 135K.
I must warn you, there was no warning on the failure. It shorted and that was that, not even a jump would start the truck. Replaced that battery in a parking lot. But I was pretty pleased to have gotten that far with it.

Re: How long has your battery lasted?

I replaced the original battery in my 1993 in October 2005 just as the weather started to cool down here. I also had no warning, just gave out.
