Thumbs down finished: Revell T-bucket Ratrod

I just built the Revell T-bucket in a bit of a ratrod look.
Nothing really custom except for the colors.
Bodycolor is a 50/50 mixture of humbrol satin and flat black, interior is humbrol flat red. Both brushpainted.
I'm a real fan of pinstriping so I just had to put some on, even if it does not belong on a real ratrod.
I used humbrol transparant blue, yellow and red to give the exhausts a bit of a burnt look.
The engine was painted a dark blue first, then drybrushed with gunmetal.
The blue only shows here and there an gives it a nice dirty/oily look.
I really don't like the way the stacks are looking. I don't mind my models looking like models but they are just too fake, maybe some blackwash will help.

complete gallery, no build pics :-(

I had stopped modelling for about 6 months, just didn't feel like it anymore, but I'm back, already started on a yellow RX-7 FD.

Comments more then welcomed.

Vey cool. I really like the red interior really sets it off.

Looks good! Lots of character. Contrary to your statement, I think the pinstripes look good too, and are appropriate.

I agree, the only problem are the stacks, the rest of the model is great... did you not trim the extra flash off the end of the stacks, or is that how they're actually shaped? I'd rip em off and find another set, or put a carb on it or something, IMO.
