Spark Plug Oil

I found oil on the passenger side plug closest to the cabin of the vehicle. The oil was only on the thread part of the plug and did not coat the firing end of the plug. Should I be worried or thankful that the oil seems only to coat the thread?

Re: Spark Plug Oil

No worries. There is an O-ring seal that seals off each spark plug tower from the cylinder head. A little oil in there is normal. It wont hurt a thing. You can pull the valve covers, replace the valve cover gasket AND plug tower seals, but I wouldn't worry about it.

G/luck
