problem with new clutch kit

i just installed a new clutch kit (pressure plate, clutch disk, thow out bearing) and when all was said and done, the pressure plate won't disengage no matter how i adjust the clutch linkage, so before i rip the trans out again, any suggestions on what it could be?

Re: problem with new clutch kit

i think if the throw out bearing was loose it would make some chattering noises.

maybe you put the disk on backwards? i dunno what relaly to say its kinda hard to fuck up a clutch lol.

Re: problem with new clutch kit

yeah it's got to be something with the throwout bearing, because the clutch disk only goes in one way, and the pressure plate only goes on a certain way because of the aligning pins, so it's probably something with the throwout like you both said, thanks for the info, at least i have a place to start now
