power door lock conversion

My friend just bought a 06 civic four door. The car did not come with power door locks. The owner would like to have power door locks installed. I was wondering if I could just buy the parts from a honda dealer (actuator, buttons) and install them myself. One queston, Is the wiring harness set up for power door locks even though not installed? Thanks

Re: power door lock conversion

Wow why didnt he get the model with power door locks. That would have been too easy huh. You can get the hardware from Honda sure. Scope out 8thgencivic.com and run some searches over there for a more acurate response to ur question.

Re: power door lock conversion

It might be a little cheaper to go and buy a kit off of jcwhitney or some other auto parts store. Sure it wont be authentic honda stuff but only the most hardcore honda interior critics will know that....and i doubt the guy bought the car to take it to shows or anything since he didnt even get power locks.
