Need help with 95 Century and weird ALDL connector
Hi guys. I've got a 95 Buick Century. The check engine light came on today, so I went to dump the engine codes. Unfortunately, this car seems to have a rather unusual ALDL configuration. It uses the standard OBD1 connector - rectangular shaped with 12 pins. As in this diagram:
http://www.home.aone.net.au/techedge...e/con12pin.gif Unfortunately, here's where the trouble starts. There are only three pins on the connector that actually have wires going to them. Pin A has a black/white wire going to it, Pin M has an orange wire, and Pin K has a purple wire. That's it. There's nothing on B to connect to. So... how do I get the codes out? Is this some kind of weird intermediary step between ODB1 and ODB2? I'm at a loss, as the car is showing no symptoms currently, but obviously something isn't right. |

Re: Need help with 95 Century and weird ALDL connector
My Buick manual says 94 and later models don't flash the codes anymore. I have wires in A - K - M also on my 94 Buick Century Custom
