Key Only Turns Half Way

When I insert the key in my ignition switch it will turn to acc and that it. can I replace the switch myself? Will need to remove the dashboard?

Download the sticky at the top of this forum and look for the ignition section. It is for the generation 3. An ignition switch shouldn't be too hard to replace.
