If you want to get to the vents in the center of your dash, you have first got to take apart the whole center console. Unscrew the screws that are on the inside bottom of the center console first. After you take off the entire arm-rest assembly, take off the center plastic trim by lifting straight up. It might be tough, but it's only held on by four metal clips. Then you'll see two screws at the bottom of the trim piece with the radio and vent controls. Unscrew these and then pull that whole piece straight back. It too is only held by clips. The center vents will come out with that last piece.
