1964 Plymouth Fury

Ran across a 64 Fury with a 426 wedge engine...engine is date coded to the car, rearend is what it should be, but car has no fendertag and cannot tell by vin what is the exact motor that should be in the car. Will there be matching numbers on the trans/engine ?? need ssome help here asap...66 was the first year the vin explained the proper engine for the car

No. There are vin decoders on the internet that can help you. If you buy the car, Chrysler can provide info on it if you give them the vin #.
